Ask LeadsParrot in the Help Guide
The Ask LeadsParrot button is available beside Help Guide search and below the homepage search panel. The LeadsParrot bot icon in the lower-right corner of every Help Guide page opens the same current chat. The assistant answers questions about documented LeadsParrot features, setup, and troubleshooting. It is not a general-purpose chatbot and cannot inspect your account.
After signing in, the separate LeadsParrot Assistant in the app can combine Help Guide guidance with permitted read-only account data after you approve access.
Ask a Help Guide question
- Select any Ask LeadsParrot button.
- Ask how to use, configure, or troubleshoot LeadsParrot. Select the send icon, or press Ctrl+Enter on Windows/Linux or Command+Enter on macOS.
- Review the answer and its Help Guide sources.
- Open a cited source when you need the complete workflow or additional context.
The Help Guide chatbot has a library of exactly 70 General LeadsParrot questions and randomly shows four unique suggestions for each fresh chat. Starting a new chat selects another random set of four.
Selecting a predefined question hides all four suggestions, places the selected question in the input box, and submits it immediately. The question remains visible there while the parrot is processing it. It clears after a successful answer and remains available for retry if the request fails.
Typing your own question and selecting the send icon, or using the keyboard shortcut, also hides all four suggestions as soon as processing starts. Suggestions return only when you start a new chat.
When an answer appears, the conversation automatically scrolls so your newest question is aligned at the top of the conversation area and the answer follows beneath it.
Answers are written in English Markdown. LeadsParrot page names, UI labels, record names, and titles are bold. Ordered procedures use numbered lists, while two or more facts, options, requirements, statuses, or results use bullet lists with one item per line. Separate information is not compressed into a run-on paragraph.
Help Guide citations are rendered separately below the answer. Internal citation IDs, provider citation markers, and source labels are removed from answer text before display.
Provider file-citation markers are internal grounding metadata, not Help Guide content. LeadsParrot removes both their normal encoding and variants whose control characters were replaced before displaying an answer.
You can phrase a question personally, such as “How do I connect my email account?” The assistant gives general documented guidance; it does not know whether a connection, campaign, lead, or setting exists in your account.
Documentation-only answers
The /helpdocs/ assistant is anonymous and documentation-only. Its public backend endpoints reject authentication headers, account identifiers, workspace scope, consent receipts, and other account-shaped request fields. The browser request explicitly sends no credentials, and the AI provider receives only the redacted question, bounded Help Guide conversation context, and results from the active Help Guide vector store.
The public assistant cannot inspect account data. Above the question box, the visible Ask a LeadsParrot question label appears with the keyboard shortcut.
The public assistant has no account tools. An answer is shown as supported only when its citation matches the published Help Guide corpus manifest. If you ask what is happening in your account, it can explain the documented workflow but cannot inspect or confirm your live data.
The assistant searches the published Help Guide and should say when the guide does not support an answer. It does not use web search, access account data, or perform actions in LeadsParrot.
Requests unrelated to LeadsParrot are declined. Repeated declined requests still count toward the public usage allowance so the assistant remains available for product help.
Privacy and sensitive information
Do not enter passwords, API keys, access tokens, mailbox credentials, private lead data, or other secrets. LeadsParrot attempts to redact detected email addresses, phone numbers, identifiers, credentials, and tokens before a valid question is sent to the external AI service, but automated detection cannot guarantee that every sensitive value will be recognized.
The conversation stays in the current browser tab and is cleared when the page reloads or closes. Normal chats are not saved by LeadsParrot. Anonymous rate limiting uses protected identifiers rather than storing raw IP addresses.
Select I understand beneath the privacy notice to hide it for the rest of the browser session. The acknowledgement is shared with the signed-in app assistant, including when the two assistants are open in different tabs. Starting a new chat, reloading, or moving between the Help Guide and app does not show the notice again during that browser session.
Manage the current conversation
The chatbot header shows the LeadsParrot bot icon, LeadsParrot Assistant, an outlined New chat button, and a minimize icon. Select the minimize icon or press Escape to close the panel without clearing it. Reopening it from any Ask LeadsParrot button restores your messages, question draft, feedback draft, remaining allowance, and privacy-notice preference for the current tab.
The chatbot panel and its header appear above the fixed Help Guide navigation so all conversation controls remain visible. Reopening a minimized chatbot automatically scrolls the conversation to the latest question and answer.
Select New chat to clear the conversation. If messages or drafts exist, Ask LeadsParrot asks you to confirm first. Confirming clears messages, errors, and unsent feedback, restores the starter questions, and keeps the assistant open. It does not reset your browser session, disclaimer acknowledgement, or remaining question allowance.
Answer feedback
Select Yes or No below an answer to indicate whether it helped. Selecting No opens a review form and does not send anything by itself.
If you choose Send feedback, LeadsParrot emails the sanitized chat shown in the preview to the development team. You may add a note and an email address if you want a reply. The optional reply email is used for the feedback message and is not sent to the AI service.
