Workspaces and scopes
LeadsParrot has two scopes: Account and Workspace.
Account scope is used for account-level resources and settings. Workspace scope is used for workspace-specific campaign work.
When protected app data is being prepared after a refresh or scope change, the loading screen identifies the active context as Loading account data or Loading workspace data.
Every signed-in product page records its active context in the browser URL. activeScope identifies Account or Workspace scope, and activeScopeId identifies the selected account or workspace. Opening a copied link restores that context before the page loads. If the account or workspace is no longer available to you, LeadsParrot shows an unavailable-link message instead of opening the resource in a different scope.
Choose the right scope
- On desktop, use the workspace rail to select account scope or a workspace. On mobile, open the navigation drawer, select the current scope at the top, and choose Account or a workspace from the scope drawer. The primary navigation scrolls independently when needed, while Collaborations, Help & Support, and the footer remain visible at the bottom of the drawer.
- Stay in account scope for Lead Finder, saved searches, account-scope Lead Lists, account settings, tokens, users, and subscription work.
- Select a workspace when creating or editing campaigns.
Email and domain setup scope
Email & Domain Setup can be used from account scope or workspace scope.
- In account scope, Zapmail connections, domains, and email accounts are owned by the account. Account-owned resources can be assigned to workspaces.
- In workspace scope, domains and email accounts are owned by that workspace and are exclusive to it.
- Assignment is not ownership. Assigning an account-owned resource to a workspace only grants that workspace access.
Use account scope when you want to dynamically assign resources across workspaces. Use workspace scope when the setup belongs to one client or when managed provisioning charges should stay tied to one workspace.
Workspace-only areas
Campaign pages require workspace scope. A direct campaign link resolves the campaign's workspace, switches to it when you have access, and updates the URL before loading campaign data. This also allows links from notifications, background processes, and LeadsParrot Assistant to open the intended campaign even when you were previously using another workspace.
Share filtered views
Applicable list and history filters are stored in browser parameters beginning with filter-. Copying the current URL preserves those filters along with the active scope. Resetting a page's filters removes its filter- parameters without removing the scope context.
Locked workspaces
Locked workspaces stay readable, but workspace-scoped edits are blocked. A workspace can become locked by subscription plan limits after a downgrade.
